How to Make Granola Bars

As a mom of 3 growing boys, I am constantly looking for different snacks that are filling, healthy and budget friendly.

I came across this recipe somewhere in web land and it has become a favorite here. 

Super easy and meets my personal goal of having less processed foods around.

Homemade Granola Bars

4 1/2 cups oats

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla

2/3 cup butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup honey

1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

*Preheat oven at 325 degrees

*Mix all ingredients except chips

*One mixed, add chips

*Press into greased 9×13 pan

*Bake about 20 min. or until golden brown

*Let it cool and cut into bars

Here they are fresh out of the oven.  The boys didn’t even wait until they were cooled off to dig in. So yummy warm!

I also cut some into bars to freeze.  I put them into small bags to use in lunches.  This is all I was able to save from this batch.  I usually make 2 for my family.
